Spring Blooms Share Biweekly -- 4 bunches
The spring blooms that we grow are some of the most beautiful, coveted, longest lasting and most labor intensive of the flowers that we grow. They are also such welcome beauty and brightness after a long winter. In 2025, we will be offering our best spring blooms to those who sign up for a spring share. Flowers will start with tulips, narcissus and anemones and move on to include ranunculus, hellebores and alliums in the later weeks.
Shares will start around early April (exact date will depend on spring weather; you will be notified as it nears) and run every other week. However, please note that there will be no bloom shares distributed the week of Mother’s Day, as we will be again be offering special Mother’s Day Flower bunches that week. Many of these flowers are long lasting and last more than a week in a vase.
Shares are available for pick-up at Swallowtail Farm on Tuesdays (4:00-7:00 preferred but— anytime after noon Tuesday or self-serve on Wednesday also work) or Thursday (4:00-7:00 preferred but anytime after noon Thursday or self serve on Friday also work) other times by pre-arrangement. Sorry, but we cannot honor specific color requests — bunches will be farmer’s choice of colors.
We know some folks want these spring beauties every week, if that’s the case we suggest signing up for two shares and letting the farm know you want to pick up weekly. We try to keep our flowers reasonably priced, these are not huge bunches. If you like large bunches, you also might want to sign up for two shares.
By buying a share you are also committing to the risk that all farmers take each growing season where we deal with the risk of crop failure and unexpected weather. We have been growing spring blooms for a number of seasons and feel that we can honor your shares, but also know that unexpected things are a part of farming.
If you are buying this as a gift or for yourself, please understand that you/they are committing to pick up your share at your allotted time, or schedule in advance an alternate mutually agreeable pick up, send someone else, or forfeit that bunch.
